Kyocera Wireless Corp. promotes an environmentally-friendly culture with employees and on-site contractors.

We are committed to the prevention of pollution, protection of natural resources, waste reduction and compliance with applicable environmental legislation and regulations.

We strive for continual improvement of our business processes, products and activities. Environmental objectives are established and monitored using targets that measure our progress toward minimizing potential significant environmental impacts.

ISO 14001 & EMS - What is it?
ISO 14001 is an international standard that establishes requirements for an Environmental Management System (EMS).

As an ISO 14001 certified company, Kyocera Wireless Corp. is committed to the protection of the environment and conservation of natural resources in our production processes, products, services, and activities. It is our intention to be recognized by our customers, employees and our community as a responsible corporate citizen. Kyocera Wireless is committed to continual improvement in environmental management and pollution prevention in all of our business activities and in the products and services we provide.

EMS Implementation Team
The environmental impacts and aspects of Kyocera Wireless operations are evaluated regularly. From this evaluation, goals and targets are established to reduce the severity of significant environmental impacts. The EMS Implementation Team is chartered with addressing these goals and targets through continuous improvement projects that focus in the following areas:

Recycling (controlling and reducing hazardous and non-hazardous waste)

Boulder EMS (covering environmental impact of our design facility in Boulder, CO.)

Chemical Control (monitoring acquisition and use of chemicals)

Green Manufacturing (controlling environmental impact of manufacturing)

Utilities (monitoring/reducing electric, water, gas and fuel use)

EMS Essentials
Kyocera Wireless believes the following to be essential to an effective Environmental Management System:

Kyocera Wireless will design and manufacture products for minimal environmental impact over the life of the product.

Kyocera Wireless is committed to the Prevention of Pollution. Specifically, KWC recognizes that the most effective means to reduce pollution is to avoid the generation of waste products. To further that goal Kyocera Wireless will, where feasible, reduce the consumption of raw materials; re-use materials where no adverse effects are anticipated; and recycle materials to the extent economically practical.

Kyocera Wireless is committed to the identification, evaluation and compliance with the environmental regulations, legislation and other requirements to which the company subscribes. The compliance with these environmental requirements is a component of the company's overall business operations, and the company will maintain open and on-going communications with employees, regulatory agencies and other interested parties.
