Tom Maguire is vice president of global marketing for Kyocera Communications, Inc. In this role, Mr. Maguire is responsible for all marketing activities worldwide, including branding, advertising, public relations and channel marketing. Known for his motivational leadership style, Mr. Maguire brings a wealth of marketing and sales savvy to Kyocera along with 17 years of experience in wireless telecommunications management at Motorola, Inc.
While at Motorola, Maguire excelled in a variety of sales and marketing positions. He moved up the company's ranks from account executive for two-way radios to Motorola Asia-Pacific regional vice president and country general manager for Singapore, holding a wide variety of sales and marketing positions along the way. Over the years, Maguire was instrumental in elevating Motorola's market strength by building solid relationships with carriers and big-box retailers throughout North America, Latin America and Asia. He successfully managed numerous sales teams using a strategic account management approach, and built highly effective marketing teams by carefully balancing the desires of consumers with the needs of wireless operators. Maguire also helped to maximize sales by serving as internal liaison between engineering, sales and marketing. His business experience has instilled a comprehensive understanding of marketing - from merchandising, branding and channel marketing to public relations and online campaigns.
Maguire received advanced training in building consumer brand loyalty and brand awareness at the Motorola University/Kellogg Business School and completed certification in NEO retail sales training and sales excellence/negotiations. He is a respected industry leader and an experienced speaker at wireless telecommunications conferences throughout the world.
