"After finding it difficult to find a KR1, we finally found 1 on Amazon. All I can say is it was worth the wait. While we have not tried actual tests, the connection seems a lot faster going through the router than when the EVDO card is inserted into a laptop. The download speeds are amazing and the wi-fi coverage seems very good. Since we use other DLink routers, setup was extremely easy. It seems to mimic the setup of DLink's DI-624. We have used the KR1 as an emergency internet connection when one of our sites was flooded out. It was worth it's weight in gold as we were able to service our customers while the site was flooded for 3 days. Our next scheduled use of the KR1 will be when we open a new location. It usually takes three weeks for broadband to be installed. Instead of waiting to operate, we will have broadband the first day. Great Product."

"My wife and I moved onto our sailboat in Annapolis, MD and both needed access to the Internet from various locations around the Chesapeake Bay. The KR1 is the best thing since sliced bread. We plugged our KPC650 into it and have our own small wireless network right on board. We purchased an external antenna to mount on our deck but we actually get great broadband access from below deck without it. Occasionally, we seem to lose the local wireless LAN and have to depower-repower the router to bring it back up onto our refresh list. But other than that small inconvenience, it works great."

"The KR1 is one of those products that revolutionizes the industry. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am with this product. I bought a Macbook Pro and noticed that it wouldn't accept the 32 bit PCMCIA. After researching other "fixes", I decided to order the KR1. It worked better than advertised right out-of-the box. My reception improved on my KPC650 and I experienced a dramatic speed increase. THANK YOU for designing this product! I've become a Kyocera believer.
